Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Deb D'Andrea Deb D'Andrea is a graduate of the Boulder College of Massage as a Certified Canine Massage Therapist and has aligned with Broadway Animal Hospital to bring her expertise to their clients.

She has a unique understanding of the canine skeletal and muscular systems, and combines her massage expertise with years of Qi Gong experience, enabling her to connect with canines so she may better understand and address their needs. To complement her canine massages, Deb incorporates acupressure, aromatherapy and Qi touch.

Deb’s special gift of canine communication and calming touch gives her the ability to create a canine bond of trust and comfort, allowing her to massage dogs of various dispositions.

Just as massage therapy can help people; it is also beneficial for dogs. Massage can help shy dogs become trusting, hyperactive dogs become calm, and can give aged and chronically ill dogs a new lease on life.

Deb’s canine clients include, but are not limited to, post-surgery dogs recovering from osteosarcoma and lymphosarcoma; dogs diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and epilepsy; dogs with patellar luxation and hip dysplasia, and neurological pathologies.

Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Deb D'Andrea
Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Deb D'Andrea Deb has several companions who are astounded by the changes they see in their dogs after just a couple sessions. Each client is given a complete Canine Massage Report after every session outlining the reason for the massage, what was found during the massage, what was done, how the client responded, and then the human companion is given homework to massage their dog between sessions.

It has been shown that massage has a positive effect on the muscular, nervous, respiratory, digestive, circulatory, and immune systems; assisting circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid, stimulating organs of digestion and improving performance of lungs, skin and coat; along with improving muscle tone which enhances nerve communication leading back to the spinal cord and brain.

Benefits include the removal of toxins from tissues assisting in faster post-op healing and recovery; and stimulation of the lymphatic system improving the immune system.

Massage assists in the restoration of internal balance and harmony, helping facilitate healing in a way that complements the body’s natural healing ability.

Dogs staying at Broadway Animal Hospital or dogs attending Doggie Daycare can sign up for Canine Massages on Tuesdays and Thursdays during their stay. Canine Massages can also be scheduled other days by appointment.
